These switchgears are known as the first and primary switchgears in electricity industry which built up to the voltage level of 36kv and similar to compact switchgears, they include a sectioner on the top point that provides potential for repairing and maintenance. Similarly, circuit breaker may be of gas- or vacuum- type in such switchgears. This switchgear may be in two forms of under-load breakable and unbreakable types and the breaking and connection blades operate freely along with spark arrester in open air. These switchgears are different from compact switchgears in terms of the utilized equipment and ease of operation with them.
